Communication The Melbourne Guild sends monthly Newsletters that contain news of all branches of the Guild in Victoria. We produce our own monthly newsletter and post it to all members. This newsletter contains all the information needed to be an active member of our Guild.
Exhibitions Exhibitions are held every second year. We invite each member to submit several articles that have not previously been exhibited. Guidelines concerning exhibitions are available from the Exhibition Committee.
Programmes The Committee plans the programme well in advance, and tries to cater for all members -- teaching basic embroidery techniques; new skills; providing workshops; trips to other guilds; and exhibitions. Special Interest groups meet to teach and learn techniques in a particular area. The December meeting is always a Christmas break-up dinner, with time to relax and reflect on the year's work. To enable all members to enjoy Guild activities, we do not allow children to attend sessions.
Library The branch has an extensive collection of books for use by all members. Other items of embroidery equipment are available for members' use.
Community Projects The South Western Branch has been involved in projects which are on display in several Warrnambool City Council locations.
