U3A WARRNAMBOOL Inc.
University of the Third Age (u3a) is a voluntary self-help organisation promoting further learning as a recreation for people of retirement age, in a social environment.There are only two requisites for membership to Warrnambool u3a. They are: being at least 50 years of age and a love of learning.
NO special educational qualifications are required.
Topics and issues discussed at Warrnambool u3a meetings are many and varied. An example of some of the subjects members have studied are; psychology, geology, ancient and modern history, climate change and the carbon cycle, economics,, use of nuclear power, dredging Port Phillip bay, plus topics of interest and current affairs conducted by class members.
Poetry appreciation is held on alternate Thursdays in private homes.
Session dates coincide with school terms. Tuesday classes are held weekly in a small meeting room at South West Institute of T.A.F.E.
Members may also attend some classes at Deakin University Warrnambool Campus as honorary students.
The Warrnambool Field Naturalists have also invited our members to join in their bush walking activities.

Venue: Conference Room, TAFE Library, Kepler St, Warrnambool.
Time: 2pm til 3.00pm. Followed by afternoon tea in the TAFE cafeteria.
Poetry Appreciation:
Begins Thursday 15th February
2010 at 2pm and every 2nd
Thursday thereafter.
