Presidents Report
Warrnambool PC Users Inc. 2010 - 2011
I am pleased to report on the activities of your club over the last twelve months.
Before anything I must commend your committee for their input over the period. It has not been an onerous job for them in that we only meet monthly for about 2 hours, but this has resulted in each month's program being developed after discussion, plus reviewing where we the group is going. Your committee over the last 12 months has consisted of myself and the following.
David Stennet
Gwyn Taylor
David Pearson
Ron Simmons
Les Lockland
Alan Grigson
Sandra Pearce
Jack Levey
Graeme Mayne
Greg O'Flynn |

Special metion to Sandra (Web & Supper), Ron (Treasurer), & David (Secretary) For doing such a great job.
With regret I note that Graeme Mayne has not re-nominated due to time pressures, and I thank him for his input over the year.
Greg O'Flynn also will not be on the committee due to grandchildren pressures.
I thank him for his unique way of presenting.
On behalf of you all, I thank the committee for a job well done, and I ask you all to acknowledge this in the usual way! I am sure we will use them both for future presentations as they do it very well.
We still are in a fairly strong position in that our numbers have not basically changed in the last 12 months, so that we actually have 40 members, one down on last year. Bearing in mind the changing world around us, I feel that we are holding up well.
Over the last 12 months we have purchased a second laptop, so that we can better demonstrate on multiple operating systems, and this system is working well. We have presented too many items to list, but the fact that 4 to 8 items are presented each night speaks for itself.
The Club continues to be in the happy position of not paying for the use of the Archie Graham facilities, because Sandra Pearce & I give time each week for Computer lessons.
I believe that as long as a couple of our members continue to do this, that we will continue with this happy arrangement.
Our Treasurer Ron Simmons will be recommending that our subs continue to be $20.00 per family per year. A figure that enables us to maintain current technology, while at the same time keeping our finances at a safe level.
The Warrnambool PC User Group inc continues to be one of the nicest groups of people that I have had the pleasure to be involved in. It is the interaction of everyone that keeps us going and looking forward to each meeting.
My only disappointment is that we do not receive many requests for presentations! How about YOU putting in a suggestion.
The Next 12 months will be interesting and I look forward to them, all the best to you all.
David Stennett
President
